Creative Developer
I build digital experiences that leave a feeling behind
Writing code since 2010. Things escalated.
Okay, enough professional talk. Want to meet the human?
Find the glowing ballat the bottom. That's your way in.
I'm Sajjad, a freelance creative developer. My story started around 2010, when I first got curious about how websites were built and began taking them apart just to understand how they worked — the code, the logic, and the process of building something out of nothing.
Over time, that curiosity grew beyond code into design, interaction, visual direction, and the way an idea can become an experience on screen.
That curiosity still shapes how I work. I like getting beneath the surface of a project — understanding the brand, the people behind it, and what they're trying to communicate. Then I bring that understanding into both design and development to create something that feels like it genuinely belongs to them.

The visual language behind an experience — brand, art direction, and the details that decide whether it feels considered or just assembled.
Digital Experiences
Where identity, interaction, and code stop being separate steps and become one continuous experience built from the ground up, and occasionally a little smarter than it needs to be.
Custom Systems
The systems that make an experience work behind the scenes from custom back-ends and CMSs to APIs and frameworks, built around what the project actually needs.

Collaborated on
+projects with studios, agencies & individuals
Over the years, I've worked primarily as an independent freelancer, collaborating with studios, agencies, and talented individuals from around the world. Each project has brought a different role and set of challenges, depending on what the work called for. I've also led web departments and teams, bringing together people across different disciplines to shape projects and bring the work to life.
Web teams led
across companies & projects
Along the way, I've worked directly with brands of all kinds, translating their ideas into digital experiences that feel distinctly their own. Working closely with the people behind each brand, I've carried projects from their initial direction through to the final details, bringing creative vision and technical execution together to shape, design, build, and refine each experience around what the brand set out to achieve.

01 · The Foundation
The experience begins with a simple goal: to establish a feeling that carries through everything that follows. I wanted the foundation of the design to feel quiet and considered, giving the experience room to breathe while introducing a visual language that feels responsive, expressive, and alive. Color, motion, and sound work together as parts of the same system, each carefully tuned to build an atmosphere that feels cohesive without demanding attention. Even the smallest interactions were considered as opportunities to give the interface a little more character, making every detail feel intentional and giving the experience its own sense of life from the very beginning. The foundation sets the tone, but the feeling continues to grow as visitors move through the experience.
02 · The Navigation
The experience was designed to be explored in more ways than one. Alongside conventional navigation, I created a custom keyboard system that gives interactions their own dedicated shortcuts, making it possible to move through the experience, open links, and explore its different parts without relying on the usual tab-by-tab journey. Rather than treating keyboard support as an afterthought, I wanted it to feel like a natural extension of the design, giving visitors another way to experience everything the portfolio has to offer. The navigation itself was designed to remain within reach throughout the experience, providing a consistent point of connection as everything around it evolves. The menu offers a direct route to any part of the portfolio, alongside quick access to my social profiles and email. Its fixed presence makes it easy to find your way without interrupting the experience, while its reactions and transitions allow it to feel connected to the world it belongs to. The Curiosity panel takes a more conversational approach. Built around the questions visitors might naturally have about my work, process, and way of thinking, it offers answers through an interaction that feels closer to a conversation than a conventional information panel. The intention was to make useful information readily available without breaking the atmosphere or turning the experience into a collection of menus and explanations. Together, these systems give visitors the freedom to explore at their own pace, whether they prefer to follow the experience as it unfolds or move directly toward what interests them. And for those ready to take that curiosity a step further, the next part of the experience offers a more direct way to begin.
03 · The Project Builder
The Project Builder guides visitors through a series of questions, gradually shaping an understanding of the experience we want to create together. With every answer, the story develops, responding to their choices and adapting as new details come into focus. The journey isn't fixed, either. Visitors can revisit an earlier decision, change their answer, and watch the story take a different direction as the project begins to find its shape. By the end, the experience brings those decisions together for a final review before the submission becomes the starting point for our collaboration. What would normally be a simple exchange of information becomes something more intentional: an opportunity to understand the person, their ambitions, and what we're setting out to build together. The goal was to make the process feel like the first part of the project itself. Not a form standing between an idea and its realization, but a considered beginning — one where the questions, the responses, and the journey between them all contribute to the experience we're about to create.
04 · My World
Within the navigation, a small orb quietly breathes and drifts in place, almost easy to overlook. Its subtle movement gives it a sense of life, like something waiting to be discovered rather than something asking for attention. When curiosity finally draws the visitor toward it, the orb begins to glow with an otherworldly radiance, moves to the center of the page, and expands into My World. This transition marks a deliberate shift in the experience. Until this point, the focus has been on the design, the interactions, and the work itself. My World creates a moment to step away from that layer and meet the person behind it — the experiences, interests, and moments that have shaped the way I think and create. Designed as a personal gallery, this space invites visitors to move through those moments at their own pace. Each one becomes part of a larger story, revealed through an environment that continues to respond to the person exploring it. Subtle reactions to movement bring the gallery to life without distracting from its contents, while directional controls offer a guided path through the experience. At the same time, visitors can follow their own curiosity, selecting any floating element that catches their attention along the way. The visual language established at the foundation continues here, but takes on a different role. The atmosphere becomes a space to explore, and the interactions become a way of connecting with the person behind the work. My World isn't a departure from the experience, but another side of it — a more personal layer that gives everything else a little more context.
05 · Identity
The experience moves from the Foundation to Identity, bringing the person behind the work into focus. My background, capabilities, experience, and the brands and projects I've been part of are revealed in a sequence designed to unfold naturally, one step at a time. Rather than presenting everything at once, the experience unfolds as visitors move through it. Small interactions offer glimpses of the personality behind the work, while a guided progression keeps the journey moving without overwhelming it with unnecessary information. The result is a more considered introduction, giving visitors room to take in what matters and build a clearer picture of who I am and how I work.
06 · The Projects
The projects section was designed to give each piece of work its own space, allowing its identity, ideas, and strongest moments to speak for themselves. Rather than presenting a collection of static thumbnails, the featured view brings each project to life through a focused video preview that responds to the visitor's movement, drawing attention to the details that make each experience distinct. Discovery is designed to feel just as considered as the projects themselves. A custom drag-and-move interaction lets visitors move freely between previews, while directional controls offer a more direct way to explore. For those who prefer a quicker overview, a full list provides an alternative way to browse the entire collection and jump straight to a project that catches their attention. Each project can also open into a more immersive experience without taking the visitor to a separate page. Expanding within the same space, it reveals the visual identity, creative direction, ideas, and process behind the work through a story visitors can move through at their own pace. The aim was to make every project more than a destination to click into — giving it room to tell its story while keeping the entire portfolio connected as one continuous experience.
07 · Every Screen
The experience was designed to adapt to different devices and screen sizes without losing the essence of its design. Rather than simply scaling the layout down, each version was considered around the space, interaction, and possibilities of the screen it lives on. From the overall composition to the smallest details, the goal was to preserve the character of the experience while allowing it to respond naturally to each device. The result is a consistent visual language that feels at home across screen sizes.
01 · The Arrival
The experience begins with a video-framed introduction before gradually opening into the main site, where the hotel's architecture becomes part of the visual language. Rooms unfold like chapters, while imagery and typography build the mood.
02 · The Story
The story unfolds gradually, giving guests the feeling of discovering the hotel rather than simply being introduced to it. Its history, inspiration, and architecture surface piece by piece, creating a connection between the past and the space that exists today.
03 · The Stay
The story moves from the hotel itself to the people who become part of it. Guest moments unfold through photographs, films, and personal memories, bringing a sense of intimacy to the experience while connecting the hotel’s history to the stories being created there today.
04 · The Moments
The story expands beyond the stay, into the moments that have taken place within the hotel. Music, fashion, and film come together as a collection of cultural memories, with each moment given space to unfold without distraction. The interaction stays quiet until curiosity takes over, allowing the experience to shift only when there is something new to discover.
01 · The Entrance
The experience begins with the collections themselves, turning the first impression into a moment of discovery rather than a conventional storefront. Instead of leading with a traditional product slider, the latest catalogs gradually come into view alongside moving imagery, introducing the season through a combination of fashion, motion, and visual rhythm. The interaction was designed to capture attention without getting in the way giving each collection its own presence while making the transition from discovery to browsing feel natural.
02 · The Edit
The experience moves from discovery into a more focused edit of the season, bringing collections and their individual pieces into the same space. Each catalog keeps its own visual character while making its products immediately accessible, creating a balance between browsing the collection as a whole and discovering the details within it. The interaction was designed to make that transition feel effortless allowing guests to move naturally between catalogs, explore the pieces within each one, and quickly find what catches their eye without losing the atmosphere of the collection itself.
03 · The Live Edit
The experience shifts from browsing collections to experiencing them in motion, bringing campaign films and live content into a single, focused space. Each piece is given room to breathe, turning the catalog into something closer to a living editorial where fashion, movement, and product come together. The interaction was designed to make moving between stories feel as natural as turning through a magazine, while keeping the focus on the imagery itself. Supporting details remain within reach without interrupting the visual experience, making it easy to move through campaigns, discover the pieces within them, and stay immersed in the moment.
04 · The Collection
The experience closes by opening the door to the full collection, giving the visitor a final glimpse at pieces beyond the curated selections shown throughout the experience. Product imagery emerges naturally as the cursor moves through the space, turning a simple transition into one last moment of discovery. The section keeps the ending intentionally minimal while still giving the collection a visual presence, inviting guests to continue into the full store whenever something catches their eye.
01 · The Encounter
The experience begins like the opening of a documentary, building anticipation before bringing the viewer face to face with the Philippine Eagle. The pacing, imagery, and restrained typography were designed to create an immediate emotional connection, giving the story a sense of presence before the journey begins. Rather than introducing the subject through information first, the opening lets the eagle make the first impression creating a quiet moment of connection that sets the tone for everything that follows.
02 · Into the Wild
The story moves from the first encounter into the world the Philippine Eagle calls home. Atmosphere gradually gives way to place, revealing the forests, landscapes, and skies that shape its existence while letting the environment emerge as part of the story itself. As the journey continues, the eagle comes into focus alongside the territories it inhabits. Changes in light, color, and movement create a sense of discovery, while the map transforms the story into something tangible showing where these birds remain and how their presence differs across the last fragments of their natural habitat.
03 · The Vanishing
The story turns toward what is being lost. A diminishing number becomes a quiet reminder of how fragile the Philippine Eagle’s future has become, with the countdown designed to make its decline feel immediate rather than distant. The scale of the loss is brought closer through the people who first fought to bring its disappearance to the world’s attention. From early conservation efforts to the legacy the eagle has left behind, the story unfolds through the people, photographs, and places connected to it. The imagery moves across generations, revealing not only the rarity of the species, but the growing cultural and emotional weight it has come to carry.
04 · The Anatomy of a Legend
The story returns to the eagle itself, slowing down to explore the details that make it such a remarkable creature. Its anatomy, instincts, life cycle, behavior, and the threats surrounding its survival unfold through a visual journey that treats each detail as part of the larger story revealing another layer of its character, power, and vulnerability. The journey eventually comes full circle, returning to the same quiet sense of presence from the beginning. As the eagle grows from distant silhouette into full view, the final message shifts from observation to responsibility leaving the viewer with a simple thought: what would the forest become if its guardian was no longer there?
